About Lynda

Lynda J Rountree, LMT began her healing path in the early 1990′s. Essential oils were her first love and they helped her find her way to Massage School.  In 1996 she graduated as a Massage Therapist from the Morris Institute of Therapeutic Massage.  That same year she became a member of American Bodywork and Massage Professionals.  Lynda became certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork in 1997.  Also in 1997, she received a certification in Aromatherapy at the Healing Garden in San Jose, California.  From 1997-1998, Lynda received training in Deep Tissue techniques and added this craft into her massage sessions.  In 1998, Lynda moved out West to New Mexico where she became Licensed in that state.  Living out there she furthered her knowledge of healing through her travels and the people she met.  Lynda moved to Arizona to learn more about the culture of the Southwest and acquire more wisdom prior to returning to New Jersey in 2001.

It was when she returned to New Jersey that the world of Pre and Post Natal massage came into her life and Lynda had found her niche.  She was certified in Pregnancy Massage in 2002 by the Institute for Therapeutic Massage.  She loves working with mothers-to-be and shares her tender and healing touch to assist in their birth experiences.

In 2006, the State of New Jersey created a certification for Massage Therapists. Lynda was certified by the State of New Jersey in 2007.  In 2012, the State of New Jersey has  turned this certification into a required License.  Lynda is presently Licensed by the State of New Jersey to practice Massage Therapy.

Lynda worked at Integrative Medicine of Atlantic Health at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ from 2010-2012. There she provided  inpatient services with her skills as a massage therapist to patients in their beds with various different illnesses.  This was a great learning experience working  in a hospital setting, giving comfort, pain relief and and overall tender loving care to people in great need of touch.

Most recently, Lynda has become an apprentice of Healing Touch.  She has completed Levels One through four and is working presently towards becoming a Healing Touch Practitioner after she completes 100 hours of hands on practice and takes Level Five in November 2015.  Healing Touch is an “energy therapy” that uses gentle hand techniques thought to help re-pattern the patient’s energy field and accelerate healing of the body, mind, and spirit.

Lynda is a natural intuitive and provides her heart and compassion in every person she touches.
